We are a small breeding kennel located north of the beautiful Southern Highlands in NSW Australia.
 
We take great pride in our breed and are big believers of breeding for the betterment of the breed. Our breeding stock is carefully chosen in means of breed type, bloodlines and most importantly temperament. We currently have the most divers of bloodlines in Australia with bloodlines from the UK, USA, Norway, New Zealand and Australia.

As a small breeding kennel, we will only have one to two litters per year. We register all puppies with DogsNSW Pet’s on Limit Register and Potential show puppies on Main Register. Please view our “Litters” page for information on upcoming litters.

Our History with Elkhound’s began in 2004 with a beautiful boy named Zac (Pictured on side); Graabine Cool As Fonze, however, Zac never made it as a show dog and was re-homed. Unfortunately, Zac disappeared on a property in WA and has never been found. In 2005, we got Adele, Ch. Kahuti Little Adele who became our first successful show dog. She has won a few classes in groups and a class in show. She is a Sydney Royal Bitch Challenge winner and Reserve winner. (2006 Bitch CC, 2008 Bitch CC, 2009 Res Bitch CC Sydney Royal). Mishka, Ch. Stecin Freki and Tora, Stecin Embla came in 2006.

Our first litter was a year after in 2007 with Adele and Mishka. Out of this litter we kept the only girl, Hannah, BIG Ch. Halgrove Hilda. This litter was repeated in 2009 giving us our most successful boy, Bond; GRAND Ch. Halgrove Bondjamesbond is the YOUNGEST NORWEGIAN ELKHOUND to win an ALL BREEDS BEST IN SHOW in AUSTRALIA and the YOUNGEST NORWEGIAN ELKHOUND GRAND CHAMPION IN AUSTRALIA.

In 2008 we bred Emma, Halgrove Emerald (Pictured above) but sadly lost her in 2010. Also in 2010 we introduced into our family a UK bred bitch from Barbelka. Pandora, Ch. Barbelka Promien Halgrove Imp UK. And then with the generous gift from Garbor and Megan Markotany with a half American line bred bitch, Missy, Graabine Sweet Fantasy. The last two members in our family are the 2nd Halgrove bred generation, the son and daughter of our very first home bred bitch, Hannah. Aiden, Halgrove Nordic Winter and Wynter, Halgrove Wynter Rayne.
